The design process allows time and thought to be given to satisfy client requirements before any construction begins. It becomes the designers function to incorporate various elements important to the client in such a way that beauty, function and budget are realized.

A professional design and installation offers many advantages. It increases a homeowners appreciation of their yard, making it functional for all family members, enhances the esthetic component through balance, colour and form and increases the value of any home.

Our design process involves two
main steps as outlined below:
1Initial Consultation
During this time we meet with the homeowner/client on site and discuss in detail what the homeowners thoughts and ideas are and in return discuss our thoughts and ideas for the space. Ideally, the homeowner can provide us with a photocopy of the Real Property Report or 'plot plan' of his residence. This facilitates the design process allowing us to use proper, surveyed measurements. We familiarize ourselves with the site in regards to existing structures, trees or elevations.
2 Computer Generated Design
Based on the information gathered during the consultation, a plan is produced using our professional landscape design software. Combining the homeowners ideas with our own, a plan is developed showing all elements including planting. The design is then presented to the client along with an itemized quotation to review and make any changes, additions and deletions they deem appropriate. These changes are then incorporated into a revised design and price quotation. This quotation gives the customer a breakdown of all the costs if they were to have the work done by Sungreen Landscaping. The design phase is usually completed within 2 - 3 weeks in peak season.
